These are some pics. of cars I have either never seen previously, or those of memories long ago.
This one should be a mystery car - any takers ?
Back in the sixties, as a snotty nosed kid living in Moree, I used to be captivated by the beauty of the Toyota Crown....
Even earlier in my life, I witnessed these Haflingers run rings around a Jeep on a muddy proving round - these were made in Graz, the capital of Styria - my home city.
Naturally, I have owned several Finnies, incl. a 300SE of 1966 vintage. This one is a 230S.....carburettor job. Mercedes never made a 230SE Finnie.
My very first ride in a car in Australia - it belonged to the local Hunters Hill Estate Agent. It was a magic ride.....
Anyone remember these......
The last one shown, the Renault Floride, had to run hugely different tyre pressures between front and rear on account of engine being located in the rear of car.
I hhave forgotten the name of this one - I think it was the large Simca model made by Talbot..
THE COP car of the seventies ....the Rambler Matador
The back of 'THE' mystery car - perhaps somewhat plain, but it took my eye nevertheless...
Regards Styria
