It's just by chance that I have come across someone's FlickR album of cars that were auctioned off in November of 2016. C107 and myself bought a car each, his purchase being a 1965 Rover 3 litre Coupe, whilst I procured a 1976 3500S.
We drove both cars back to Sydney without any real incidents. I topped up with water before I left, whilst C107 had to stick to about 100kms/hour to stop the water temperature to creep up beyond normal. I have since bought the Coupe from him for parts, and it is proving invaluable in assisting my restoration of the three Coupes that I am doing. As can be seen from the pics, most cars were a pretty motley lot, there were some real bargains. I also bought a very rare P4 Rover 95 - 1963, with a gutted interior but, having paid fifty dollars for the car, I decided to leave it with the auction people. Just too much trouble getting the car back to Sydney. Regards Styria
