I think you need to look closer at the numbers and you will see that there were 3 main bidders each outbidding each other. People should learn how to bid. If you bid every time someone outbids you, all you are doing is driving the price up and penalising yourself. I only ever bid once and at the very last minute. Sometimes I win and sometimes I don't, but I bid to my maximum, and that's as far as I go.

I use the same strategy Craig, and win more than I lose at a price much lower than my maximum :D

Yes I understand it wasn't 41 separate bidders, but the ones that were bidding were quite determined to have it!

Mark, judging by the 'sold price', values are not going up, are they ? It's amazing how little that car fetched in the end. Incidentally, the same seller is also selling a Holden Calais in perceived better than average condition. His price on that car - a miserly $800.00 - shaking my head ! Regards Styria
