Amg g63 & g65

Hi guys AMG has replaced the G55 with a G63 fitted with the twin turbo 5.5 litre V8 and a G65 fitted with the 6.0 litre twin turbo V12 both fitted with the 7 speed auto which i believe id a first for the V12 enjoy http://ninemsn.carpoint.com.au/news...des-benz/benzs-new-amg-fettled-g-wagens-29799

Having owned a few V12's I reckon its when excitement gets in the way of common sense and the engineering dept gets all fired up.

Personally I feel that anymore than 8 cylinders should be reserved for radial aero engines.

Hi Styria need to correct you it did not start with the Rolls Royce Phantom it started in 1916 With the Packard Twin 6 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V12_engine Geoff

Looks a bit like a Toyota Troopie. Actually, they do a 4.7 diesel V8, with a single or twin turbo. One tough hombre. Will cost you around around $100k.

If you want to go really tough, what about an ex Army Unimog? I guess the V12 Steyer may be a little faster though........!
