LOL I suspect that the plate refers to the styling....

The rear screen may well be an inside out front or rear Benz unit, Ive seen this ute discussed elsewhere and exactly the same question came up.

For what its worth I love the ute and id own it in a flash!

As for S class converts, they have to have 4 doors unless you move the B pillar back to accommodate 107 doors.

Anything less and it makes the car look like a parade float.

 

[Oversize]

If I was making a ute, I'd graft the rear of a VE Holden ute to a 6.9! I think they look fabulous and it'd be a good way to get rid of the VE A pillars, which are the size of telephone poles!!
