6.9 starter motor

Hi Everyone,

The starter motor on my 6.9 finally gave up after at least 5 years of expecting it to.

So, I am on the hunt for a replacement unit, or a contact for someone who can rebuild it. The auto electrician I have on the job says it can't be rebuilt, but that may be down to not being familiar with them.

Any information or contacts in this regard gratefully received.

Just got a phone call the other day my starter had died while my car is still in the workshop.

Ugh that sucks mine is making a high pitched whine without effecting a start every few attempts so I am dreading mine also saying "sayonara" soon...

Didn't end up buying a new starter, mine is currently being rebuilt.
