6.3 for sale at $49k

I would've thought the chrome on the front bumper would be better for the asking price. It doesn't even have alloy wheels! If this isn't the highest priced 6.3, it must be close:

Hi Mark, there are higher priced 6.3s on the market at the moment - I believe there is one for $63K. (dark blue) that would be very nice, and there is another for, I believe, at least $50K. that's domiciled at Abl567's address at the moment.

At his address, there is also the gold 6.9 for $6000.00 with never used black leather upholstery. Regarding values of 6.3s ? You may well be right (hopefully), especially when you consider the amount of money some Australian made cars are fetching nowadays - like, you know, 6 cylinder Monaros, some Torana models, well you've got to ask yourself.... I would hate to disappoint you guys, but in my opinion, half to 2/3 of the price of this 6.3 is in the number plate!

These numerals only plates start at $25,000 for a non meaningful sequence.
But this one being different might bring more money.

Strangely, they don't even mention the plate, but then, they are pretty short on detail in general. One can only hope that the values are finally starting to rise - they are grossly undervalued in this country (and the US). Of course, it helps that I own one and wouldn't be sorry to see the values rise.

N.B. No, we're not teasing you - with 6.3s, there is no hard and fast rule regarding values, asking price and purchase price. It becomes a question of individual transactions. Generally speaking, 6.3s seem to fetch higher prices (at least, at advertised asking prices) than 6.9s, but I suspect that the latter will come into their own in due course.

Hi guys i see the seller has dropped the price by $1000 they also have a Holden HG Brougham for $24000 and to think i sold mine to my younger brother in 98 for a lot less than that in better condition too and was 1 of only 4 factory black HG Brougham's there is also a seller on ebay at the moment selling 2x 6.3 plus spare motor for $6900

Hi Motec 6.9 - the Brougham is a perfect example of an overpriced Aussie car when compared with any of the Mercedes Benzes. I liked the Broughams in their day with their revised rear end styling, but really they were just another, albeit up-market Holden. Regarding the two 6.3s, what can one say - it's a perfect example to what I replied to Tarek with - it depends on individuals and individual transactions. Regards Styria

Godfather , Christmass in July - LOL- i never thought i will see this in my life but who knows , my problem here is no way i can find the big engines , and with country import restrictions , impossible to get it but i settle for the shape and smaller S class engines 280, 300 , 350 those we can find if we look hard.

i'm negotiating a W108 model year 1968 but they put 300 diesel engine which i must change if i bought it ( not used to drive diesel ) .
penny for your thoughts.

What might seem strange for you requires an explanation.
Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere of the world and so we have the seasons inversed to what is i the Northern hemisphere (where Egypt is) and that means that Christmas, which is celebrated in December, is in the middle of summer!

There has been a trend for people to celebrate (for fun as Aussies hardly require any reason for a celebration) Christmas in July (our winter).

Thanks for explaining the meaning of the statement i figured it out ( that it must be weather related to the down under ) , welcome back from the mid east trip and hope it was fun and no jet lag from hopping up and down.( also left and right) if you had to drive in DUBAI.
