I read this article with a great deal of interest. Interest because many years ago I owned a long wheelbase 1966 long wheelbase saloon. I owned for seven years, used it for one hundred thousand miles, and sold it at a handsome profit.
It was a great family car -self levelling air suspension front and rear, and I used to pack all kids (three) and our gear, plus trailer and motor bikes, and go riding to places like Wyangala Dam and others, and the car hardly ever missed a bit. BTW, what an imposing engine to look at, in real life, and a most unusual engine with Heron head (flat) and combustion chambers machined into the pistons. Enjoy. Regards Styria
