No Brian I am not thinking of updating just bought my 300SE.

Just noticed the white 300SE for sale and thought I would see what you guys think of the car.

$15K for a 300SE in today's used car market is top dollar?

Impala brown 420SEL I told you guys about is still for sale price is still $20K.

That indeed is a nice looking, and well Dealer prepared, car - not that there is anything wrong with a car being properly detailed. It makes for a pleasant change from some privately entered cars that haven't had a basic clean and are poorly presented from a photographic point of view.

Instrument binnacle is of some interest, as it illustrates temperature gauge and corresponding oil pressure - almost as good as on my 420SEL. Regards Styria

What I can not work out is how can a car that is over 20 years old regardless of condition be worth $15,000?

W126 S-Class is now regarded as a Modern Classic Car and I agree with that statement.

But surely the value of the W126 are no longer worth in various price ranges of say $15,000 for the 300SE and $20,000 for the 420SEL?

White 300SE now listed at $13,950 according to eBay & Carsales yesterday.

Also have a 1991 420SE midnight blue 291,000kms advertised for $9,950.
