Here's a little anecdote re the cirmcunstances on how I acquired my 6.9:
Saw an ad in the paper, 'ploned the guy, and I asked him to hold a broomstick vertically against the front and rear bumper ribbers, the chalk mark the ground at the foot of the stick, then measure the distance between them. I measured the critical distance in my garage. 35 mm to spare. The guy was telling the truth over the phone. I bought the car. Styria can confirm this by observing how I park the 6.9 in the garage. It is a sort of a ritual. I switch the ign. off, tranns. in N. I put a brick behind a rear wheel, the with a fence paling against the brick, handbrake off, push the brick and the car together to a mm perfect position in the garage.
I turn the battery isolator switch to off, so the car is electrically dead, and I sometimes measure the ground clearance of the with a simple wooden gauge I have made.
I can raise the bonnet with the roller door shut behind the car, with about 10 mm to spare against the lower edge of the bonnet clearing a workbench used for gemcutting.
