    Car of the week

This looks nice. Those intake vents are new to me. A real shame the person does not know how to turn their phone on it’s side to take a landscape shot. This ad could have looked a million bucks...

Bryce, I completely forgot about the factory plate. It shows 3/88 with an Australian complied 5/88 I will use the colour you provided based on build date for the trim colour. It also seems there was only 2 available. Light grey (almost silver) and dark grey.

Bryce, thank you. That is terrific information. The only way I can see a month build is by the Aussie compliance plate, however that will differ to the actual build date. I can’t say I have seen any month & year dates on the car anywhere else. My tool kit has the addition of the sunroof...

Wow, ok. This is a bit of a mystery. I can’t wait to see what the Germans had in mind for this really offset ring spanner. The colour code for my lower trim is also a mystery. 2 panel beaters I use can not tell me either. I know my paint code is 929, I had touch up paint made by Auto Barn...

Yes mate, it’s weird, the end/handle is also notched a tad (see pic) almost like it would slide into an extension piece??

Spotted at our new Volvo Truck dealer Wacol

One of Volvo Group workers owns this car and apparently it hasn’t been cleaned in 10 years. The DP told him to park it out on the road in future as it brings the shiny new dealership down

Gents, A couple of pics of my 560 tool roll. Can anyone tell me what the big offset single ended ring spanner is for?

Fantastic choices there Styria. The Buick Roadnaster was used as the basis for Australia’s very first production car. The Holden 48-215.

    Car of the week

Gents I have seen this lovely 79 280E advertised a couple of times. Great car for not a lot of money. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/1202317185?utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_ios&utm_medium=social&utm_source=sms

Thanks mate. I have tracked down an extinguisher, but the owner does not have a bracket. I am also struggling to find any images of a fire extinguisher in place on the net. I just want to be sure I get the positioning correct.

Thanks for the replies guys. Did all Aussie cars have the fire extinguisher, or was it an option? Awesome Valvoline it is.
