Long shot I know, but I'm looking for a short body Bosch Fuel pump for the 6.3
Since I bought it in 2006 it's had a D-Jet/K-Jet pump and while a bit noisy always did the job.
The pump has died so I'm looking to revert to original, hopefully for under $2K 🤦🤦 which seems to be the rate for a second hand/rebuilt pump.
I did find a NOS, $US4500, yeah na!

Wasn’t cheap compared to simply swapping in another Bosch in line filter, but I’ve decided it’s time to get the 6.3 back to the jump in and drive to Perth way it was so to many years ago.
I was ready to sell, just let it go. I’ve changed my mind.
It just needs driving.
I want to also rebuild the power steering pump, it’s not effective at idle, about 650rpm
Other than that it’s fiddly and cosmetic stuff.

It'll be good to enjoy it again.
I remember way back when I drove it everywhere. Shortly before the Downunder Rally (2008) I was in Brookvale getting some print supplies and meeting up with Phil Cullis, a M100 group and fellow 3.6 owner to lend him the throttle tle body/MFIP calibration protractor I'd cobbled up.
As I turned into the street a Silver W111 250SE Cab pulled out from the kerb.
Wonder who that could have been.
Another TK link, Again prior to the rally my car's diff whine, very mild, turned into a clunk as it broke one of the teeth off.
In searching for a useable rear axle our very own Godfather answered a WTB post on, I think, OzBenz. I met him over at his Glenorie shed and while he wasn't able to supply the axle, he did sell me a 6.3 fuel tank.
Michael was kind enough too deliver it to me to my then home at Baulkham Hills.
As I opened the garage door he walked in and opened the drivers door, it was a car he had restored in the late 90's.!
Small world indeed.

Was probably my father driving the car I now own, as I didn't buy it from him until 2012. He lived in Mosman at the time and so being in Brookvale would have been likely - he used to go to Terrey Hills quite a lot. At that time he was using it quite a lot as his health issues that caused him to sell the car to me were not as bad then. He was driving it as his main car at the time. I was living in the USA at that time.

I seem to recall seeing you driving your 6.3 in the city about 5 years ago when you had the six three number plates. Was cool to see it cruising along amongst the taxis and buses.

That would have been Ruby's year 10 formal at Doltone House, Prymont.
