Geoff, is that a good thing, or a bad thing ? :D whilst one can appreciate Tim's effort in posting the appropriate pictures, it would be far better. To be advised of:

The cost of purchase of the seal,
Where from, and
The cost of fitting of the seal.
That would make it a better post. Timmy, how about it ? Regards. Styria

Sorry if this post is all too boring?
:(

PTSS Post Trumpmatic Stress Syndrome that is very funny!

Trump going to be busy building his 'wall', attached pic might help?

In answer to the questions:

1. Boot seal supplied from MB Classic California and it cost $150 plus $37 FedEx shipping.

2. To fit the seal $60

Cheers.

Did you try and purchase locally . Your seal, genuine or aftermarket, and how well does it fit. Is it easy to close your boot, or do you need to slam it . Regards. Styria

Hi Helmet this is the second seal.

Hello Styria the seal is genuine fits much better than the previous seal.

Boot is easy to close no slamming required.

Buying locally... I get a lot of M. B. bits from Silver Star Spares in Kingsgrove
Sydney. Both current Cars and old. With freight coasts out of the USA, they are very competitive. All OEM Parts. Be sure to give them a Vin number.

Just for fun Tim call them for a quote on your Boot Seal ?

G'day Sean how are you?

I have found FedEx freight costs not to bad considering the parts are coming from California and the parts arrive less than a week later not bad.
