6.3 Camshaft replacement
Not my car this time, but the following demonstrates the importance of checking oil flow.
A friends 6.3 developed a noisy top end so we pulled the cam covers to have a look see, this is what we found on #3 exhaust cam lobe

Notice the burnt oil and damage to the following edge of the cam lobe.
the oil feed tube that sprays oil (removed in this pic) was blocked around cylinders #3 & #4, overheating the cam and the cam bearings on the middle 2 cam towers causing...
