W116 with Vinyl top
I think this is the first time I have ever seen this. I'm not sure if it was original, or was it an aftermarket thing? This car is a 1975 model (manual as well) and I know that the vinyl roof option was a big thing in the early to mid 70's. Our neighbour had a powder blue Citroen GS Club with a tan vinyl top (what was he thinking??), and we had a red Ford Cortina 1.6L with tan vinyl top. I don't recall ever having seen this on Mercedes, though.

What was the vinyl roof thing about anyway...
